Military Black Powder is versatile and finds application in a broad range of uses. This premium quality military-grade black powder is used in more than 300 types of ammunition, including the M82 primer that serves as an ignition source for 155mm artillery propellant charges. It further finds its application in the ignition of mortar propelling charge increments for 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm mortars, as well as cruise and M16 rifle rounds. Our military black powder is utilized in diverse settings, such as in ammunition for Leopard tanks and Tomahawk missiles. In every instance, a minute quantity of black powder functions as a detonator for a more potent explosive housed within the same bullet or missile. For instance, a 155mm howitzer shell employs half an ounce of black powder positioned adjacent to 26 pounds of a stronger explosive.
It is also possible to produce sulfur-free powders or powders with the addition of graphite (retarder).
We can also produce pressed powder with a mixture of smokeless powder in the form of pills.
